Sophie Jodoin





For its inaugural exhibition, Battat Contemporary is pleased to present the work of Montreal artist Sophie Jodoin. The exhibition entitled Headgames: hoods, helmets & gasmasks is comprised of 75 drawings and a projected video that Sophie Jodoin created in collaboration with David Jhave Johnston.

The exhibition is accompanied by a hardcover publication entitled Sophie Jodoin: War Series, which is for sale at Battat Contemporary. The publication is a compilation of Jodoin’s larger War Series, and features a text and interview by Border Crossings magazine’s Robert Enright in conversation with Sophie Jodoin.(Battat Contemporary)

Sophie Jodoin studied Visual Arts at Concordia University in Montreal. She has had various solo exhibitions and participated in group shows and art fairs in Canada, Prague, Miami, Chicago, New York, London, San Francisco and Philadelphia. Her works can be found in private and public collections both in North America and in Europe. She lives and works in Montreal.(Battat Contemporary)
