Sophie Jodoin is an artist who works and lives in Montreal. She is a politically engaged artist, her paintings often showing war victims, mostly children. There is a lot of repetition in her work and she only paints or draw in black and white. Sometimes red will be used to emphasis the wounds. Her website is well explained and well put and is definitely worth a look.
