Seamus Conley
Born in 1978 in Los Angeles.
Now lives and works in San-Francisco.
He is self-taught painter. He was awarded the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant in 2007.
"Conley’s new body of work investigates the overlap of the vivid imagery in one’s imagination with the ordinary blur of the external world. In his paintings, the real and the imagined dissolve into one another, creating narratives that unfold like dream sequences. Conley’s work explores how those internal holograms are often times more desirable, exciting, anxious, or threatening than what's seemingly there."(andrea schwartz gallery)
