I love Joel Dickens paintings. Colorful, funny, simple, he draws inspiration from the obvious freedom of in children’s drawings. His subject matter spans the philosophical and the social to the personal. This combination can be both confronting and comforting. His unique humour moves the viewer to react to topics such as the environment, consumerism, war and power.
