Alexia Sinclair is an award winning Australian photographic and digital artist. Her photographic and illustrative artworks are housed in important art collections throughout Australia. An exhibiting artist since the early 90's, Sinclair's distinct style is highly celebrated.
Born in Newcastle in 1976, Sinclair moved to Sydney at the age of eighteen to study Fine Arts at the 'National Art School'. This was only the beginning of Sinclair's tertiary education. Completing her studies at NAS, she then went on the complete a BFA (Hons I) and MFA from the University of Newcastle. Sinclair has exhibited her art in numerous exhibitions throughout Australia, including being an exhibiting finalist in the 'National Portrait Prize' (Archibald) at the Art Gallery of NSW.
Sinclair's awards include winning the 'Harpers Bazaar CANON Fashion Photography Award', the 'National Tertiary Art Prize' and the prestigious 'Newton-John Award' for her 'Master of Fine Arts' series 'The Regal Twelve'. She is also the recipient of a 'Jennie Tho©mas Travelling Honours Scholarship' (NYC) the 'Jennie Thomas Masters Scholarship' and a 'Postgraduate Research Scholarship'.(ALEXIA SINCLAIR)
