OIL ON CANVAS /// DAVID GILLANDERS
DAVID GILLANDERS was born in Toronto, Canada in 1968 and studied at the University of Western Ontario, London and McGill University, Montreal. He lives and works in Montreal.
His paintings and drawings have been exhibited regularly in Canada and abroad since the mid-1990s, including at the Maison de la culture du Plateau-Mont-Royal and the McClure Gallery in Montreal, at the John B. Aird Gallery, Toronto and at the Chicago Art Source Gallery, Chicago.
In 2009 three new bodies of work were shown in solo exhibitions at Galerie Trois Points, Montreal, the Méridien Gallery, Montreal, and at the Art Gallery of Northumberland, in Cobourg, Ontario.
Works by DAVID GILLANDERS are held in the collection of the Art Gallery of Norhtumberland, the Collection Prêt d'oeuvres d'art du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Quebec City, the Méridien Versailles collection, Montreal, the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan collection and in many private collections.
