MARIE LUISE EMMERMANN‘s “glueless” collages are ephemeral compositions the artist assembles on her studio floor, photo-documents, then sweeps away. Interested in body morphosis and prosthesis, Emmerman’s collages create a visual experience of the human body that is unfettered by cultural conventions, while the process is a gentle reminder of our own fleeting mortality.
