Up Against It contest
«Up against it» is a contest where you have to design a wall. If there is anyone interested, here's the info :
The 'Up Against It wall' is seen every day by 2,000 commuters on their way to and from London's city centre.
The competition is open to all types of creative and artistic expression. Your entry will be judged on your response to the words "Closer than you think".
The top 20 entries voted by the public will then be judged a panel of influential artists and designers. The winning entry will be displayed on the 'Up Against It wall' in Deptford, London.
Reebok advertising
Sometimes the wind is against me.
I breathe it only because I have to.
I suck it in and spit it out cursing.
But today we’re going the same way.
And it’s everything I can do.
To stay on the ground.
This Reebok advertising was inspired by Boticelli's Naissance de Vénus. I like it. Via

Easter eggs
«Slovenian artist, Franc Grom creates egg art using an electric boring tool. The results are stunning and as laborious as the finest of craftsmen from centuries past. The eggs that Grom creates have approximately 2,500 to 3,500 holes (he has been known to drill up to17,000 in one piece). The results are simply amazing. Who would have thought that something so delicate could be made even more fragile and precious.»(momeld)

Armed America
Kyle Cassidy traveled 15,000 miles over two years photographing Americans in their homes and asking one question: Why do you own a gun?
Kyle Cassidy a parcouru 15 000 miles à travers l'Amérique pour photographier des Américains dans leur maison et pour leur demander : «Pourquoi avez-vous un fusil?»
Dan: I consider the ownership of arms not only a right, but the duty of a free people to themselves and future generations.
Drew: Owning a firearm brings me some sort of balance. When I am angry at the world I find relief in dropping a clip into the air. And, at the same time, if the world threatens me or those I love, I find relief in the protection it gives me.
Paul: My family had guns the whole time I was a kid. then i went off and joined the army and went away and come back. I have guns now largely for the same reason I have fire extinguishers in the house and spare tires in the car. I'm a self reliant kind of guy. and there could come a time when I need to protect my family and i'm a self reliant kind of guy.
Beth: I have one for self protection. I was raised to never rely on anyone else to protect me or watch my back. It took me a year to pick out one that I liked.

Jason Briggs
Jason Briggs, an american artist, creates porcelain blobs. The explanation for his work is very very interesting... And since he explains it better than me, and that you see his work in a totally different eye once you understand the process, I strongly suggest you go and read it here. (I would do the cut and paste thing, but it won't work...)
